If you are already running a copy of MDaemon Free, you can upgrade to the latest release by downloading it from above and then installing over the top of your current installation - all your current settings will be retained.

Please note that it is good practice and highly recommended that you always make a back-up of your existing MDaemon folder prior to upgrading!

Important notes

If you intend to run a third party antivirus application on your MDaemon server, you MUST ensure that real-time file scanning is configured to exclude the entire MDaemon installation folder and sub-folders and that Email 'traffic interception' scanning is disabled.

Either of these features will cause reliability problems for your MDaemon server. Antivirus scanning for your email is a vital function that can only be done reliably by the SecurityPlus plug-in for MDaemon which is specifically designed to operate with MDaemon at a safe point in the message handling process.

If you want a team of developers that literally work all hours of the night and holidays ... you better go with Alt-N.
